Direct Filing

My view is there’s no bad time to innovate.

Upon filing a patent with your home office, the patent applicant has the right to priority and can choose to seek foreign protection 12 months from their patent’s priority date. Under the Paris convention you can seek protection in any of the treaty’s contracting states. Each country has its own set of rules and regulations regarding the specific translation language, formatting requirements, and proper documents that you should be filed. Union Translations has years of experience providing sworn and certified translations before each of the Paris convention states that require translations. Moreover, because our translations for filing are finalized by an in-country patent agent we have the ability to provide filing services via our network of agents.

Our prices are 35 - 50% less expensive than foreign agents and one set of instructions is all it takes to get the process started for a multi-country order.
